- 3 large eggs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 nutmeg
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 12-roll package of Hawaiian Rolls
- 1/2 cup cream cheese softened
- 1/2 cup jam of choice
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- Maple syrup for serving
Whisk the eggs in a medium bowl until fluffy. Beat in the milk, vanilla, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt until well combined.
Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat. Dip the rolls in the custard mixture until well coated. Place 4 rolls in the heated skillet and cook them for 30-45 seconds or until they're golden brown on each side. Repeat with the remaining rolls.
Beat together the softened cream cheese and jam until well combined. Transfer the mixture into a piping bag fitted with your choice of tip.
Cut a slit in the center of each roll with a sharp knife, being careful not to cut all the way through. Squeeze the cream cheese filling into the center of the rolls until they're full.
Dust Hawaiian Roll French Toast with powdered sugar and drizzle it with maple syrup. Serve it immediately and enjoy!
