Cut the wings into Drums and Flats if they aren't separated yet.
1.5 lbs Chicken wings (approx. 12 wings)
Dry the wings very well with a paper towel, this will ensure a crispy wing.
Combine the dry ingredients (**If Air Frying or Oven baking, we will use baking powder, not baking soda- orange box) If you will deep fry, you can leave out the baking powder.
1.5 lbs Chicken wings (approx. 12 wings),½ tablespoon Baking powder Aluminum free (Not baking soda- orange box),1 teaspoon Garlic Salt,1 teaspoon Seasoned salt,1 teaspoon Black pepper,1 teaspoon Onion Powder,½ teaspoon Smoked Paprika,½ tablespoon Potato Starch (sub corn starch)
Air Fryer Cooking Instructions
Preheat Air fryer to 400 degrees. Add in the chicken wings and cook for 20 minutes and flip halfway. *Try to avoid over crowding because this can prevent the chicken from cooking evenly and crisping up.*
After flipping the wings at 10 minutes, start to prepare the sauce
Some air fryers may need 15 minutes, some may need the full 20 or even 25 mins. *My Crux Marshmello is done in about 15-18 mins, and the Crux 6-1 takes 20-25 mins*
Oven Cooking Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400F.
Place your wings onto a baking rack for best results. Bake at 400F for 45 minutes to 1 hour depending on your wing size. Flip at the 25-30 minute mark once it has browned.
Deep Frying Instructions
Deep fry wings at 350 for 8-12 minutes. I used my pan that had a lot of space for the wings so mine were cooked at the 8 minute mark. Try not to crowd the pan if possible and cook in small batches to give the wings space to cook evenly*
For the Hot Honey Butter sauce
Heat a pan to medium low and add butter
Once the butter has melted, add in your hot sauce and honey. Season with salt if needed. Simmer 2 minutes until thickened.
Toss the chicken and hot honey butter sauce in a bowl
Enjoy!
